Heidi Kozak Haddad (Writer/Producer)

Heidi is a writer, producer, actress, entrepreneur, and community activist. She received a B. F. A. from the USC Theater/Cinema School, where she studied with notable artists such as Anna Deveare Smith and Frank Condon. She has performed on stage in both Los Angeles and New York, including The Rimers of Eldritch, directed by Lanford Wilson at La Mama Theater Club, Spring Awakening, directed by Michael Arabian at The Odyssey Theater, and Whores! at The Hollywood Actors Theater, for which she received the H.A.T. award for Best Actress.

 

On TV, she was a series regular on the CBS show “Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman”, and has a lengthy list of credits in cinema and television. Heidi most recently completed the Netflix pilot “Discord and Harmony”.

 

Heidi was director of the Children’s Summer Theater Conservatory program at Camp JCA Malibu and Barton Flats for 3 years. She wrote and directed several original productions every summer and directed audience favorites including Grease, Fiddler on the Roof, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which she adapted for a teen audience. Heidi co-produced with Jessie Nelson, I Believe the “Theater Geeks of America” concert to benefit The Painted Turtle Camp, for critically ill children, which they performed to a sold out audience at The Roxy Theater in Los Angeles.

 

A passionate entrepreneur and community activist, Heidi started a company known as “The Box Girls” that put conversation starter/ice breaker games on the map.  A large portion of the profits from the sales of Box Girl products was donated to charities close to her heart. Heidi has also served on the boards of charitable organizations including P.S. Arts, Vista Del Mar and The Jewish Federation. In 2013, she was the recipient of “The Ruby Award” for leadership and service to the community presented to her by Gloria Steinem.

Phil Mishkin (Producer)

Phil Mishkin has enjoyed a long & varied career in theatre, films, and tv, as well as a distinguished record in the academic world of those same disciplines. He earned an MA in Theatre Arts from UCLA where he won awards for acting, directing and playwriting.

 

After receiving his degree from UCLA, Mishkin created and opened the theatre-restaurant that housed “The Session” an improvisational comedy group (on the Sunset Strip) featuring Rob Reiner, Rick Dreyfuss, Larry Bishop, Dave Arkin and Marj Dusay. Subsequent to that, Mishkin went on to become artistic and managing-director of the Evergreen Stage in Hollywood (now known as the Fountain Theatre).

 

Mishkin owns multiple writing credits on many shows such as “The Big Valley,” “Love, America Style,”  “Happy Days,” “Hot L Baltimore,” “Calucci’s Department,” “Chico & The Man,” “The Odd Couple,”“All In The Family:” (one of his seven episodes - "Mike's Problem" - received both  Emmy & WGA Award nominations), “Three’s A Crowd,” “Give Me A Break,” “Sanford & Son,” “Mary Tyler Moore,” “1st & Ten,” “She’s The Sheriff,” “Dragnet 90,” "Eight is Enough,” "Max Monroe: Loose Cannon,” “Detective In The House (with Judd Hirsch),"  12 episodes of “Matlock” with Andy Griffith, and  the two hour movie “Not Just Another Affair” starring Victoria Principale and Ed Begley Jr.    

 

Mishkin’s credits also include: Supervising Producer of “Laverne & Shirley,” Executive Producer (with Rob Reiner) of the series “Free Country,” and the MOW “More Than Friends;” Producer of the series “Viva Valdez” and the pilot “Sonny Boy;”  Story Editor and Associate Producer on “The Odd Couple;” and Executive Story Consultant of “The Super,” “1st & Ten,” and “She’s The Sheriff.”

 

Phil Mishkin has taught Theater Arts, TV-screen and playwriting; all aspects of TV and stage production, acting, directing, etc.; at USC, and many other academic institutions.
